Your service matters.
So does your future.
01 Why it matters
Skills without
a certificate.
Service teaches real work: repairing heavy vehicles, maintaining drones, running logistics, giving first aid. But these skills rarely come with a certificate that a civilian employer recognises. Ukraine’s Ministry of Veterans Affairs acknowledges the gap.
1.5 million+
veterans in Ukraine
770,000+

~98,000

02 Our educational mission
Education for
your next chapter.
You shouldn’t have to start from zero. Skills gained through military service, work and wartime necessity are a foundation for further learning.
Svitara helps Ukrainian veterans and other war-affected workers make those skills visible, identify what still needs to be learned, and build a path toward professional qualification through Ukraine’s qualification centres.
03 How it works
Make experience count.
Every path is different.
Here’s where yours can begin.
Start with what service has taught you.
Technical work, logistics, leadership and everyday problem-solving build meaningful skills. A qualification centre assesses what you can already do against the relevant professional standard.
04 Our principles
Learning with a clear purpose.
The pathway we’re building rests on four commitments.
Qualification centres decide
Assessment decisions stay with qualification centres and their examination commissions. Svitara connects the evidence and the learning pathway.
Designed to be free for workers
We’re building a pathway designed to keep assessment and focused learning free for the worker.
Grounded in professional standards
Learning is drawn from the same professional standard used in assessment.
Accessible by design
Accessible learning and assessment are central to our model, including for people with war-related disabilities.
There’s more ahead.05 Who it’s for
The next chapter
starts with you.
Ukrainian service members & veterans
For serving personnel and veterans, including those with war-related disabilities, who want the skills they built in service recognised in a civilian profession. Learning and assessment happen online, at your own pace.
Other war-affected workers
For people whose work or studies were disrupted by the war and who want a recognised qualification in a profession they can learn online.
Partner organisations
Veterans’ organisations, rehabilitation centres and funders who want to help more people reach a recognised qualification.
Employers Future phase
Our longer-term vision connects employers with verified skills. Employer access is planned for a future release.
